Networker and 21 The World – October Oracle Intuitive Reading - Year Wheel 2026
Moving into October 2026, we pull two cards. It feels like quite a big month. I often feel that with our October because it leads into Halloween which comes with a lot of ancestral energy and Day of the Dead type of energy. It brings in a new year for some groups celebrating the end of the month as the new year and the turning of the wheel.
It is Autumn in our area (our northern hemisphere) when the leaves are falling and the plants are dying back. The season shifts from growth into returning to the land. This brings a reminder back to the really interesting September card with the Earth Dragon.
Through late October, many people also say that it is the time when the veil thins and so our communication with spirit can be stronger. But what does it mean for you? What does the October energy mean for you in the Year Wheel? Let's see with the cards.
The first of the two cards is an Archetype card. The Archetype deck is from Caroline Myss and is published by Hay House. The card is Networker. Maybe there is some networking that needs to be done or connecting with others, with community. The way that these cards work is that they have Light Attributes and Shadow Attributes. It is helping us to pay attention to what comes up with this Archetype.
In the image we see a person who looks to be running after different envelopes, like there are different connections, opportunities, and people meeting up and connecting together. That sort of networking of ideas, networking of individuals, and networking of needs coming in. For the Networker the Light Attributes say “Enhances unity through the sharing of information. Engenders social awareness and empathy.”
Part of this October energy is in this Networking. The social ideas, the social connection that “enhances unity through the sharing of information and engenders social awareness and empathy”. The empathy is important in there. It is not just doing it for doing it. It is doing it for social reasons, sharing of information and empathy with it.
What would one need to watch out with this Archetype, with the Shadow side, or maybe to work on, to be aware of in themselves, shift, change, and heal? The Shadow Attributes, it says, “Conveys information only for personal gain. Spreads fear and falsehood.” We had a bit of that type of energy in one of the other cards so far this year, through in the Eight of Wands, I believe. And in the Hearth card, yes with the gargoyle protection, maybe needing to protect stuff for ourselves.
This type of energy comes up again in October, as an important time and place to notice these as we are Networking, as we are listening to other people and receiving their Network of information, and giving into their network of information. We really want to notice whether this is “enhancing unity by sharing information and by engendering social awareness and empathy” or is this “conveying information only for somebody's personal gain and are they spreading fear and falsehood”. If the latter is the case, then we need to pay attention to what letters of information am I allowing into my energy, and opening, and then spreading from me too. That responsibility about what I am doing with the Networking and where am I spreading it, what am I spreading, and also what am I receiving.
There is a kind of repeating theme that happens here which I find very interesting for this year given how the year started. Networker. You can take and utilize this, saying in October, if I have not been doing a lot of socializing or Networking with people, maybe it is for work or projects or for community organizations or for like-minded activities or for hobbies, maybe I am going to do that. And I want to do it in such a way where we are sharing information. We are bringing unity. We are doing it with empathy. We are lifting each other up in social awareness. We are not creating an atmosphere of fear or falsehood, or only for one person. It is a bigger picture Networker.
Those letters in the image may refer to how we can send out letters and that we can receive letters. When they are good and helpful, the whole Network gains, not only one person. This is the first card for October, Networker.
The second card for October 2026 is from the Robin Wood Tarot (Llewellyn published). We started the year in January with a Robin Wood Tarot card, the Three of Pentacles. Now we pull The World, number 21. This is a card that has very big ending and completion energy. I already mentioned that for some people this phase represents end of year allowing a new beginning to be; a new year to start at the end of the month of October.
The card is number 21 and it is The World. What we see on this picture is this big oval shape made up of flowers and ribbons. We see a woman in the center. She has got a big white sheet or gigantic white ribbon wrapped around her. You can see that she is naked underneath because you see one breast. There are stars in the background. She is holding two wands in either hand or they could be batons of some kind. They are clear coloured with a clear crystal on them. In each corner of the image, we see the elements. We have earth, fire, air, and water. Clouds for the air, mountains for the earth, ocean for water, and then flames for the fire.
In October there is a huge need. It is something that is important to me, but I also feel it has come up with this reading: The World needs balance. The World, our World, needs everybody to be checking in, to be seeing what is important. How are we balancing the different elements? How is each individual being balanced?
I feel as though it is going to be a month, this October, where it is going to be a big opportunity to shift. Do we go this way as a planet and as people or do we go that way? What are our choices?
You can look back through the Year Wheel as it has come through so far and see where you have your individual choices within it. As a World, this reading is saying we have the opportunity to look at our World from above or from outside. If you like, from in space. Looking at it and saying: Okay, what does the planet need? What do the people on the planet need? What do the creatures on the planet need? What does the planet itself need? How do we balance the different elements? How do we look at it? And what are we creating? Because She is naked and raw and we are also in consequence to that.
Whether we think we are, whether we are walking around with clothing on or not, we are actually naked and raw. This is because the planet is, because She is working on a different kind of cycle, a different kind of nature. And then we work with that. Whether people believe that is the case or not. Yeah, I believe it is. With this card, I think it is. It is The World. Then we also have power.
This woman is naked with this beautiful toga-type sheet around her and these magic batons or these magic wands with her. It is The World. It is coming to a completion. It is like a rising up of something before we what? We start again. Before we get into the next opportunity, the next level of choices and decisions and needs. For you individually, The World card here is really inviting you to pause and say, "Okay, what is most important for me in October?" (in the video I say December here so it suggests these are likely themes that we will be working with through the end of the year.)
Noticing the Networking card with what that brought in about community, attitudes, and ways of doing that. Then looking at where what is most important for you, for your balance, and for your well-being. How does that contribute to the greater World vision, picture, and need? This might feel kind of raw. It might feel like you are being stripped away of some of the costumes, some of the clothing, some of the extras, and getting into the real nitty-gritty. Noticing where you are perhaps wearing masks or costumes, or where you have been holding onto something as though it was very important and it is not anymore.
Then, where do you make decisions? Where do you create magic? Where are you naked? It might feel hesitant in some ways, but also Woohoo! It is exciting because there is something new coming. And what is that going to be?
Remember too what we have had in previous cards. How you approach all this, how you behave with it, how you network and share, and how you communicate about and with it all. Those are really important choices, we have already seen their value throughout the whole year.
Very interesting. I would love to hear your perspectives on this month’s “big culmination” energy and all its insights.
Peace and Love, Blessings for unity and balance,
Sheila
